Description
Established in 1947, this cottage cony features two pink sand beaches with guest cottages nestled in clusters around 16.5 acres of natural gardens. (Small Luxury Hotels of the World) addition of 8 luxury suites atop a plateau which overlooked the tennis courts. Brian Macdonald designed it when he was Senior Architect at The Studio Ltd in Bermuda. The main challenge was the integration of traditional Bermudian Architecture with modern living. The roof was clad with limestone tiles, which is one of the oldest Bermudian traditions. Once complete is it customary to celebrate by wetting the roof with Bermuda Black seal rum
