Description
The developer Mr B. Bodden’s vision for the Square was to expand small business opportunities and introduce new retail shops, services, and offices to local consumers. Mr. Bodden developed the plans for Governors Square and remained on site for the entire construction process to oversee each detail. The building was designed by Cindy O’Hara while Managing Director of OBM. Governors Square is a 160,000 square foot steel framed plaza, built to the highest standards of construction. There are two 750 kWh generators in a dedicated housing 15 feet above sea level, providing up to 7 days of backup power without refuelling. The first-floor slab is 8 feet above sea level and has approximately 570 car parking spaces. The entire plaza provides tenants peace of mind that businesses will remain safe in any event. It is a popular location for persons to shop, work and conduct business in Grand Cayman.
